After 3 months of range time I have officially changed EDC from my Jericho 941 in .40 S&W, to Ruger SR9C. 400+ rounds of various manufacturers and my own reloads resulting in 0 failures. It is light enough to be comfortably carried all day every day. Feels great in my hand, points naturally, and looks good too.  I still have the Jericho and will carry it at times in winter but the SR9C is now my favorite carry gun.

Just got this .40 S&W yesterday afternoon. It is an Israeli Weapons Industry Jericho 941. Feels great, and shoots great. After firing 1st couple of mags thru gun I am very happy with accuracy at 15 yards. Recoil is snappy yet manageable. Double action trigger is a bit stiff, should lighten with use, but very smooth. I understand that there are lighter handguns that hold significantly more ammo than the 1911. In fact I own a couple and have another on layaway. But I will always own and carry 1911's as well. A full size is heavy, heck my compact is heavy, but they shoot great and a 230 gr JHP in .45 acp is great for those social disagreements that pop up at times. Just wanted to let everyone know that after Jan. 1, 2011, the state of Iowa will be accepting valid CCW permits from all 50 states. And hopefully more states will enter into reciprocity so I can carry in more states. All we are waiting for is the Governor to sign it into law, and he has indicated he would do so. This is a big leap forward for Iowans.
